DNHR application in the FTS-2000 network
Proceedings Second IEEE Symposium on Computer and Communications, 1997Summary form only given. When AT&T bid on the US federal government's new private network called FTS-2000, it was clear that competition between service providers bidding on this contract would be intense. To win this contract, it was realized that this network would have to be robust, reliable, provide a wide array of services, and be very efficient ...

On the development of IMT-2000 network management system
NOMS 2000. 2000 IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium 'The Networked Planet: Management Beyond 2000' (Cat. No.00CB37074), 2002In this paper, we propose a general methodology to develop the IMT-2000 network management system as follows: (1) requirement analysis, (2) system analysis and design, and (3) implementation and test.

Mutual interference of IMT-2000 networks
IEEE Seventh International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications,, 2003We consider the adjacent channel interference of IMT-2000 networks. The results are shown for the UTRA-FDD mode of the IMT-2000 standard but can be applied to any other mode. The interference is described by an analytical model which includes all interference sources in a cluster of 7 cells.

Technology, networks, and the library of the year 2000
2007An under-appreciated revolution in the technology of on-line storage, display, and communications will, by the year 2000, make it economically possible to place the entire contents of a library on-line, in image form, accessible from computer workstations located anywhere, with a hardware storage cost comparable to one year's operational budget of that

IN service provision using VLR in IMT-2000 network
Computer Communications, 2000In this paper we propose a network model to efficiently provide IN service in a mobile network. There are two signaling architectures: MSC/SSP and SCP/HLR. We propose an IN service provision method using VLR and analyze the performance of IN service management in the two architectures.

Agriculture and Conservation in the Natura 2000 Network
2011The Natura 2000 network represents a new approach in the sustainable spatial planning promoted at the European Union level. Agricultural landscapes comprise 28.6% of the surface area of the Natura 2000 sites, many of which have significant conservation values. Plant and animal species, and approximately 30% of the natural habitats of community interest

Loop prevention for IEEE1394-1995 and IEEE1394a-2000 networks
IEEE Transactions on Consumer Electronics, 2002A method that avoids the logical loop topology to realize reliable IEEE 1394 networks is proposed. The restoration time is theoretically calculated and experimentally confirmed to be around 1.4 msec for a network that includes 3 loops; we assume the existence of the port disable function of IEEE 1394a-2000.

The design policy for a GSM-based IMT-2000 network
IEEE Wireless Communications, 2003The third-generation mobile network has been a topic of considerable interest worldwide and has begun to be commercialized throughout the world. The 3G mobile network has evolved from two types of 2G networks; one type has evolved from GSM and another from ANSI-41. We operate the Personal Digital Cellular network as a 2G network and have designed a GSM-

Positional Accuracy of TIGER 2000 and 2009 Road Networks
Transactions in GIS, 2011AbstractThe Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (TIGER) data are an essential part of the US Census and represent a critical element in the nation's spatial data infrastructure. TIGER data for the year 2000, however, are of limited positional accuracy and were deemed of insufficient quality to support the 2010 Census.
