Collagen hydrolysate is evaluated as a sustainable binder for MgO‐C refractories. Its thermally induced cross‐linking and gas release lead to expansion and cracking in large bricks, but tailored batches with lignin, recyclates, or fine graphite improve the gas release while thermal treatment and stability.

An empirical study for ranking insurance firms using a hybrid of data envelopment analysis and neural network [PDF]
One of the primary concerns with data envelopment analysis arises when the number of inputs and outputs increases. In such a case, required computations will become time consuming and there is a concern on developing some hybrid methods to increase the ...

Pitfalls and Solutions in Inverse Models of Data Envelopment Analysis with Network Structures
AbstractToday, data envelopment analysis models with network structures are widely used to evaluate the performance of production systems and activities in various fields. the relationships between the internal stages of the network provides more information about the performance of each stage as well as their effects on the performance of the entire ...

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...
