Shaping of Biohybrid Functional Living Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a strategy for shaping living mycelium into functional materials by directing its natural growth. Nanoparticles armor hyphae, micron‐scale particles entangle within the network, and printed hydrogel architectures steer expansion, creating defined geometries.

Adaptive Hydrogels With Spatiotemporal Stiffening Using pH‐Modulating Enzymes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The chemomechanical coupling in an adaptive hydrogel is studied to further the development of adaptive hydrogels. This coupling is achieved by embedding a pH‐modulating enzyme in a pH‐responsive hydrogel. The enzymatic reaction can be triggered locally, which generates a pH‐decreasing wave throughout the system, increasing the crosslinking density and ...

Dynamic Heterogeneous Information Network Embedding With Meta-Path Based Proximity

IEEE Transactions on Knowledge and Data Engineering, 2022
Heterogeneous information network (HIN) embedding aims at learning the low-dimensional representation of nodes while preserving structure and semantics in a HIN. Existing methods mainly focus on static networks, while a real HIN usually evolves over time

RANEDDI: Relation-aware network embedding for drug-drug interaction prediction

Information Sciences, 2022
Many embedding approaches of drugs have been proposed for the downstream task of drug-drug interaction (DDI) prediction in a DDI-derived network where drugs are considered nodes, and interactions are represented as edges.

A heterogeneous network embedding framework for predicting similarity-based drug-target interactions

Briefings Bioinform., 2021
Accurate prediction of drug-target interactions (DTIs) through biological data can reduce the time and economic cost of drug development. The prediction method of DTIs based on a similarity network is attracting increasing attention.
