Epileptogenic Network Formation
Neurosurgery Clinics of North America, 2020Epilepsy is characterized by specific alterations in network organization. The main parameters at the basis of epileptogenic network formation are alterations of cortical thickness, development of pathologic hubs, modification of hub distribution, and white matter alterations.

Network formation with sequential demands
Review of Economic Design, 2000This paper introduces a non-cooperative game-theoretic model of sequential network formation, in which players propose links and demand payoffs. Payoff division is therefore endogenous. We show that if the value of networks satisfies size monotonicity, then each and every equilibrium network is efficient.

Purpose Policymakers often mandate and regulate the network formation to tackle complex issues of public interest. However, the imposed legal, procedural, and political constraints (i.e. mandated specifications) can affect the structuring and functioning of these networks and thus the sustainability and effectiveness of the collaboration over time ...

Formation of Multiple Networks
2013While most research in Social Network Analysis has focused on single networks, the availability of complex on-line data about individuals and their mutual heterogenous connections has recently determined a renewed interest in multi-layer network analysis.

Nursing Management (Springhouse), 1996
Federal guidelines to determine whether provider networks comply with antitrust statutes have been revised. The revisions improve the likelihood that physicians, hospitals and other providers will be able to form joint ventures to complete or contract with managed health plans. The revisions take on added importance in light of managed care's expanding

Learning, network formation and coordination [PDF]
In many economic and social contexts, individual players choose their partners and also decide ona mode of behavior in interactions with these partners. This paper develops a simple model toexamine the interaction between partner choice and individual behavior in games of coordination. An important ingredient of our approach is the way we model partner ...

Strategic formation of credit networks
Proceedings of the 21st international conference on World Wide Web, 2012Credit networks are an abstraction for modeling trust among agents in a network. Agents who do not directly trust each other can transact through exchange of IOUs (obligations) along a chain of trust in the network. Credit networks are robust to intrusion, can enable transactions between strangers in exchange economies, and have the liquidity to ...
