Traffic routing in stochastic network function virtualization networks

open access: yesJournal of Network and Computer Applications, 2020
Abstract Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is emerging as an attractive solution, which can transform complex network functions from the dedicated hardware implementations into software instances running in a virtualized environment. In NFV, the requested service is implemented by a sequence of Virtual Network Functions (VNF) that can run on ...

Survey on network function virtualization in RAN

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2019
Network function virtualization (NFV) is a kind of new network technology rising in recent years. It realizes the decoupling of software and hardware by running the software which has specific function on a general-purpose hardware server.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
