Beacon Frame based Network Simulation using TrueTime Network Simulator [PDF]
This paper presents an enhancement of a network simulator which allows the simulation of beacon-enabled IEEE 802.15.4 wireless networks. The wireless communication standard IEEE 802.15.4 implements two basic modes, the non-beacon-enabled and the beacon-enabled mode. For low power networks the beacon-enabled mode is most suitable.

Cross-level sensor network simulation with COOJA [PDF]
Simulators for wireless sensor networks are a valuable tool for system development. However, current simulators can only simulate a single level of a system at once.

Validation of simulated real world TCP stacks [PDF]
The TCP models in ns-2 have been validated and are widely used in network research. They are however not aimed at producing results consistent with a TCP implementation, they are rather designed to be a general model for TCP congestion control.

Toward designing a quantum key distribution network simulation model [PDF]
As research in quantum key distribution network technologies grows larger and more complex, the need for highly accurate and scalable simulation technologies becomes important to assess the practical feasibility and foresee difficulties in the practical ...

Identifying Galaxy Mergers in Observations and Simulations with Deep Learning [PDF]
Mergers are an important aspect of galaxy formation and evolution. We aim to test whether deep learning techniques can be used to reproduce visual classification of observations, physical classification of simulations and highlight any differences ...

Improving ns-3 Emulation Support in Real-World Networking Scenarios [PDF]
A common problem in networking research and development is the duplicate effort of writing simulation and implementation code. This duplication can be avoided through the use of fast-prototyping methodologies, which enable reusing simulation code in real

A Mobile Ambients-based Approach for Network Attack Modelling and Simulation [PDF]
Attack Graphs are an important support for assessment and subsequent improvement of network security. They reveal possible paths an attacker can take to break through security perimeters and traverse a network to reach valuable assets deep inside the ...

NNVA: Neural Network Assisted Visual Analysis of Yeast Cell Polarization Simulation
Complex computational models are often designed to simulate real-world physical phenomena in many scientific disciplines. However, these simulation models tend to be computationally very expensive and involve a large number of simulation input parameters

A class of pairwise models for epidemic dynamics on weighted networks [PDF]
In this paper, we study the $SIS$ (susceptible-infected-susceptible) and $SIR$ (susceptible-infected-removed) epidemic models on undirected, weighted networks by deriving pairwise-type approximate models coupled with individual-based network simulation ...
