FAULT DIAGNOSIS OF NETWORKED CONTROL SYSTEMS
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006Abstract Networked control systems (NCS) are feedback systems closed through data networks. NCS have many advantages compared with traditional systems; however, the network-induced delay and other characteristics of data networks may degrade the performance of feedback systems designed without taking the network into account.

Optimal realizable networked controllers for networked systems
Proceedings of the 2011 American Control Conference, 2011In this paper, we provide the optimal solution for the H 2 control problem in the case when both plant and controller are interconnected systems interacting over an arbitrary directed causal network. We first analyze the structure of network realizable systems and then characterize the set of all stabilizing controllers that are realizable over the ...

Dynamic scheduling for networked control systems
Proceedings of the 18th International Conference on Hybrid Systems: Computation and Control, 2015An integrated approach, embracing both control and scheduling theories, is proposed to implement multiple control loops upon shared network and computational resources, where the network may additionally introduce packet losses. Each control system is first analyzed from a control-theoretic perspective in order to determine the asymptotic rate at which

Stability analysis of networked control systems
IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, 2002An alternative problem statement of the Networked Control System is proposed and a stability criterion based on the new problem statement is discussed. With this stability criterion, we are able to analyze the network transmission delay deadlines that guarantee stability.

Modeling and control for wireless networked control system
International Journal of Automation and Computing, 2011In this paper, the stabilization problem is considered for the class of wireless networked control systems (WNCS). An indicator is introduced in the WNCS model. The packet drop sequences in the indicator are represented as states of a Markov chain. A new discrete Markov switching system model integrating 802.11 protocol and new scheduling approach for ...

Output feedback control of networked control systems
SMC'03 Conference Proceedings. 2003 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics. Conference Theme - System Security and Assurance (Cat. No.03CH37483), 2004The control problem of networked control systems via output feedback is considered in this paper. In the system, a sensor is connected to a linear controller/actuator via a network. The plant is controlled alternately by an open loop controller and a closed loop controller.

Distributed Controller Design for Networked Control Systems
Proceedings of the 2005 IEEE International Symposium on, Mediterrean Conference on Control and Automation Intelligent Control, 2005., 2005Advances in technology have made possible the implementation of feedback control systems over computer networks. In applications that allow the use of networked control systems one can also take advantage of increased flexibility, ease of installation and maintenance and perhaps a reduction in cost.

Tracking Control of Networked and Quantized Control Systems
2018 IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2018This paper studies the tracking control problem of nonlinear networked and quantized control systems. The desired trajectory is generated by the reference system. Due to the reference system and the network, the errors induced by the network are not attenuated and affect the convergence of the tracking error.

PID controller design for networked control systems
ETFA2011, 2011When PID controllers receive the sensor information or transmit its outputs through a communication network, its parameters are difficult to tune using classical PID tuning methods. This is due to stochastic delays introduced by the network in the feedback loop.
