Heart conduction system: a neural crest derivative?
Brain Research, 1988Using the anti-neurofilament monoclonal antibody iC8 we report here that muscle fibers of the conduction system of the adult and developing rabbit heart express a cytoskeletal protein antigenically and electrophoretically similar to the middle subunit of neurofilaments (NF-M).

Osmotic Swelling Effects on Neural Conduction
Anesthesiology, 1979Local anesthetics administered intrathecally seen more effective when in hypobaric solution than when in hyperbaric solution. To test whether an unrecognized osmotic effect might be playing a part in this, sheathed vagus nerves of rabbit were incubated in electrolyte-deficient or electrolyte-free media of various degrees of hypo-osmolarity.

Altered Neural Conduction with Epidural Bupivacaine
Anesthesiology, 1982The sites and magnitude of evoked potential response alterations induced by varying masses and concentrations of epidurally administered bupivacaine were assessed from electrodes positioned along the conducting pathways of the monkey. The mass of bupivacaine was the major factor in determining the level and degree of response alterations.

Conductivity estimation by neural network
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium. 1995 Digest, 2002Presents a technique for detecting conductivity anomalies in sediments, e.g., a buried object in sedimentary layers under sea water, by using the neural network approach. The electric field values are used as the inputs to the neural network and the associated conductivities are treated as the targets.

Tunable Conductive Hydrogel Scaffolds for Neural Cell Differentiation
Advanced Healthcare Materials, 2022AbstractMultielectrode arrays would benefit from intimate engagement with neural cells, but typical arrays do not present a physical environment that mimics that of neural tissues. It is hypothesized that a porous, conductive hydrogel scaffold with appropriate mechanical and conductive properties could support neural cells in 3D, while tunable ...
