Neural network approaches to point lattice decoding

open access: yes, 2022
International audienceWe characterize the complexity of the lattice decoding problem from a neural network perspective. The notion of Voronoi-reduced basis is introduced to restrict the space of solutions to a binary set. On the one hand, this problem is

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Decoding Kinematic Information From Primary Motor Cortex Ensemble Activities Using a Deep Canonical Correlation Analysis

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2020
The control of arm movements through intracortical brain–machine interfaces (BMIs) mainly relies on the activities of the primary motor cortex (M1) neurons and mathematical models that decode their activities. Recent research on decoding process attempts

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Robust and Unified VLC Decoding System for Square Wave Quadrature Amplitude Modulation Using Deep Learning Approach

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
We have proposed a square wave quadrature amplitude modulation (SW-QAM) scheme for visible light communication (VLC) using an image sensor in our previous work. Here, we propose a robust and unified system by using a neural decoding method.
