EEG‐Based Cortical Alterations in Patients Following Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Due to Osteoarthritis: Pre‐ and Post‐Operative Assessment

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
This study reveals significant neuroplastic changes in cortical EEG activity post total hip/knee arthroplasty in osteoarthritis patients, with increased low alpha and theta power over frontocentral/parietal regions during rest and motor imagery. These alterations accompany functional improvements (HHS/KSS), suggesting qEEG's potential for monitoring ...

Alignment of the Starlings: Learning With Generative AI

open access: yesFuture Humanities, Volume 4, Issue 1, May 2026.
ABSTRACT I will argue that answers to normative questions concerning the place of generative AI in learning rest on answers to ontological questions regarding (1) precisely what is happening when a human ‘interacts’ with generative AI and (2) What is distinctive about organic learning as opposed to currently existing ‘machine learning’ (3) What is the ...

Optimized Protocol for the Isolation of UHMWPE Wear Debris by Lyophilization and Chemometric Identification (EDS/PCA)

open access: yesJournal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B: Applied Biomaterials, Volume 114, Issue 5, May 2026.
An optimized protocol combining serum lyophilization, solid‐state alkaline digestion, and PCA‐assisted EDS analysis was validated for the analysis of UHMWPE wear debris. The method increased recovery yield by 20‐fold compared to liquid digestion and preserved particle morphology.
