Diaphragmatic neurilemoma

Journal of Surgical Oncology, 1988
AbstractThe fourth case of diaphragmatic neurilemoma reported in the English literature is presented from our institution. Diaphragmatic tumors are usually benign and most are symptomatic. Utilizing CT scanning, these tumors can today be accurately localized.

Suprarenal neurilemoma

Urology, 1975
Retroperitoneal neurilemomas are rare tumors. They are usually asymptomatic, grow to a large size, and generally undergo cystic degeneration before they are discovered. There may be a palpable flank mass. Almost invariably excretory urography shosw renal or ureteral deviation, and arteriography usually reveals an avascular mass.

Intramuscular neurilemoma

The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. British volume, 2003
In this retrospective study, we analysed the clinical features of neurilemoma when it is located in muscle. Twelve patients had an intramuscular neurilemoma as shown on magnetic resonance (MR) scans and confirmed at operation. In six it was located in the upper limb, in five in the lower limb, and in one in the back.

Agminated neurilemomas

Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 1987
This report reviews two cases of multiple localized (agminated) intradermal neurilemomas that clinically mimicked a granulomatous dermatitis. The cutaneous lesions occurred in the second decade of life as firm papules on the chin and the lower part of the leg, respectively. Features of neurofibromatosis and neurilemomatosis were absent.

Primary Pulmonary Neurilemoma

The Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon, 1983
Solitary primary nerve cell tumors of the lung are a rarity among benign neoplasms. These tumors arise from the cells of the Schwann sheath enwrapping the nerve bundles of the autonomic nervous system. Their content of collagenous fibers varies. X-ray examination of a 32-year-old woman revealed a round focus in the ventral paracardial lower area of the

Neuroblastoma-like Neurilemoma

The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1994
We report three cases of neurilemoma occurring in the superficial soft tissue of the palm, posterior neck, and flank that closely resembled neuroblastoma by virtue of a predominance of small, round hyperchromatic schwann cells with scant cytoplasm which, in one case formed perivascular rosettes and, in the others, giant rosettes with central collagen ...

Asymptomatic Acoustic Neurilemoma

Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1970
IN 1936 Hardy and Crowe 1 published a report of small acoustic tumors which had been completely asymptomatic and had been discovered incidentally in routine review of serially sectioned temporal bones of 250 autopsy cases. The report was a brief clinical review of acoustic tumors and consisted primarily of a report of six cases. In one of the cases the

Multiple Neurilemomas

Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research, 1998
Multiple neurilemomas in diverse locations of the body developed in a 53-year-old woman. The patient had multiple neurilemomas which occurred in the thoracic spine, lumbar spine, retroperitoneal sympathetic chain, sacral nerve root, femoral nerve, both sciatic nerves, radial nerve, and ulnar nerve without evidence of Von Recklinghausen's disease.

Hypoglossal Neurilemoma

Neurosurgery, 1982
Abstract The case of a patient harboring a rare intracranial hypoglossal nerve sheath tumor is presented, and the literature concerning this lesion, especially with relation to age and sex patterns and the initial and presenting symptoms and signs, is reviewed. The importance of a thorough radiological examination with detailed vertebral
