Blood pressure effects of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists: Mechanisms, trial evidence and Real‐world data

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Pharmacology, EarlyView.
SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists modestly lower blood pressure across diverse patient populations, including those without diabetes. These effects appear largely independent of glycaemic control and offer additive value in high‐risk patients with overlapping comorbidities.

Percutaneous Laser Thermal Ablation in a Patient with 22 Liver Metastases from Pancreatic Neuroendocrine Tumours: A Case Report [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The relatively indolent nature of well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumours (NET) and their proclivity to be hormonally active warrants aggressive multimodal treatment, even for advanced stage disease.

Early Experience With Evoque Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Replacement in Carcinoid Heart Disease

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Tricuspid regurgitation (TR) is nearly universal in carcinoid heart disease (CHD), but surgical replacement carries significant risk, and CHD was excluded from the landmark TRISCEND II trial. We present seven patients with CHD undergoing Evoque transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement (TTVR) at two tertiary centers.

Targeting PI3KC2β impairs proliferation and survival in acute leukemia, brain tumours and neuroendocrine tumours

open access: yes, 2012
BACKGROUND: Eight human catalytic phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) isoforms exist which are subdivided into three classes. While class I isoforms have been well-studied in cancer, little is known about the functions of class II PI3Ks.

Small Intestinal, Colorectal, and Appendicular Neuroendocrine Tumors

open access: yes
Intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) arise from the diffuse endocrine system present throughout its submucosal lining. These tumor cells are typically well-differentiated, slow growing, store various peptides and amino acids that, when secreted, can ...

Exposure‐Response Analyses of Datopotamab Deruxtecan (Dato‐DXd), a TROP2‐Directed Antibody‐Drug Conjugate, in Advanced Non‐small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Exposure‐response analyses supported a favorable benefit‐risk profile of Dato‐DXd at 6 mg/kg Q3W in patients with advanced nonsquamous NSCLC. Datopotamab deruxtecan (Dato‐DXd) is a trophoblast cell‐surface antigen‐2 (TROP2)‐directed antibody‐drug conjugate (ADC) that has demonstrated clinical activity in patients with NSCLC who have received prior ...
