Neuronavigation in Intraoperative MRI [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Aided Surgery, 1999
We describe the development and implementation of an image-guided surgical system combining the best features of conventional frameless stereotactic systems and the recently developed superconductive vertically configured intraoperative magnetic resonance scanner.

Neuronavigation

Child's Nervous System, 1999
The fact that the visualization process has been deferred since MRI and CT scanning have become the imaging standards for today's neurosurgeons has led to the importance of developing a tool for testing and teaching young pediatric neurosurgeons in the future. Navigation and teaching in a virtual reality model seems a sound solution.

Neuronavigation

2023
Abstract The relatively high focality of transcranial brain stimulation requires accurate targeting of the fields delivered to the brain in order to stimulate the neural circuits that mediate the intended effect while reducing the unintended exposure of other brain areas.

Tractography in functional neuronavigation

S.S. Korsakov Journal of Neurology and Psychiatry, 2023
The review addresses the combined use of tractography and neuronavigation. Fundamentals of diffusion tensor imaging are given, technical aspects of fiber tracking in general and in depicting separate subcortical tracts are described. Main advantages of the method and possible causes of errors are highlighted.
