Neurophysiological, neuropsychological, and cognitive effects of 30 days of isolation

Experimental Brain Research, 2019
The increasing demand of space flights requires a profound knowledge of the chronologic reactions of the human body to extreme conditions. Prior studies already have shown the adverse effects of long-term isolation on psycho-physiological well-being. The chronology of the effects and whether short-term isolation periods already lead to similar effects ...

Neuropsychological assessment in MS: clinical, neurophysiological and neuroradiological relationships

Acta Neurologica Scandinavica, 1992
We assessed cognitive performance and its relationship with clinical and anatomic disease severity in MS with mild to moderate handicap; 34 definite MS and 18 healthy subjects matched for age and education were submitted to a neuropsychological test battery. Both groups were examined for anxiety.

[Hepatic encephalopathy: neuropsychological and neurophysiological diagnosis].

Zeitschrift fur Gastroenterologie, 1999
Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a metabolically induced, potentially reversible functional disorder of brain, that may occur during chronic and acute liver diseases. Neuropsychological and neurophysiological consequences of partial callosotomy.

Journal of neurosurgical sciences, 1997
Sixty-five patients with lesions affecting the third ventricle (54 patients) or the corpus callosum itself (11 patients) underwent partial callosotomy or a circumscribed callosal resection. Before the surgery 20 patients were studied using the battery of cognitive, affective and behavioural tests which was repeated 10 and 100 days after surgery.

Neurophysiologic and neuropsychologic profiles of lamotrigine in epilepsy.

Clinical neuropharmacology, 1999
The anticonvulsant potential of lamotrigine (LTG) has been extensively assessed in open and double-blind clinical trials including patients with different types of epilepsy. In this review, the neurophysiologic and neuropsychologic profile of LTG is discussed.
