Neutral Delay and a Generalization of Electrodynamics

open access: yes, 2010
The equations for the electromagnetic two-body problem are neutral-delay equations that for generic initial data have solutions with discontinuous derivatives. If one wants to use these neutral-delay equations with arbitrary initial data, solutions with discontinuous derivatives must be allowed. Surprisingly, this same neutrality is compatible with the

On Stability of Neutral Systems with Time-Varying Delay

open access: yes, 2011
This paper investigates the delay-dependent robust stability of neutral systems with time-varying discrete delays and time-varying structured uncertainties. New delay-dependent stability criteria are obtained and formulated in the form of a linear matrix

Insulating‐Passivating Interfaces for Narrow‐Bandgap Tin‐Lead Perovskites Enable High‐Photovoltage in Single‐ and Double‐Junction Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Combining field‐effect surface passivation of a narrow‐bandgap tin–lead perovskite by diammonium ions with introducing oleyl‐based amphiphiles to create insulating interface layers between the absorber and the adjacent hole and electron transporting layers increases the open‐circuit voltage to 91.5% of the detailed‐balance limit and enhances the power ...

In Situ Interfacial Assembly of Dynamic Semi‐Interpenetrating Biopolymer Networks for Robust and Mechanically Adaptive Droplet Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A dynamic interfacial semi‐interpenetrating polymer network is constructed by sequential assembly of β‐sheet‐rich SF and CS‐RL. The SF framework provides mechanical strength, while dynamically associated CS‐RL enables local rearrangement, allowing droplets to rapidly reconfigure without loss of interfacial integrity.

On Neutral Functional–Differential Equations with Proportional Delays

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1997
The paper deals with the well-posedness of the initial value problem for the neutral functional-differential equation \[ y'(t)= ay(t)+ \sum_{i=1}^\infty b_iy(q_it)+ \sum_{i=1}^\infty cy'(p_it), \qquad t>0, \quad y(0)=y_0 \] and the asymptotic behaviour of its solutions.

Programming Neuromorphic Plasticity Through Ionic and Electronic Coupling in Organic Electrochemical Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Neuromorphic plasticity in OECTs is governed by the post‐stimulus evolution of coupled ionic and electronic states. Semiconductor chemistry and morphology, electrolyte composition and interfaces, and device architecture regulate ion injection, transport, confinement, and release, shifting responses from rapidly relaxing STP to metastable memory and ...
