Delay‐dependent stability and stabilization of neutral time‐delay systems

International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, 2008
AbstractThis paper is concerned with the problem of stability and stabilization of neutral time‐delay systems. A new delay‐dependent stability condition is derived in terms of linear matrix inequality by constructing a new Lyapunov functional and using some integral inequalities without introducing any free‐weighting matrices.

Delay-dependent H-infinity filtering for neutral time-delay systems

Journal of Control Theory and Applications, 2006
Summary: This paper deals with the robust delay-dependent \(H_\infty\) filtering problem for neutral delay differential systems. The resulting filter is of the Luenberger observer type and it guarantees that the filtering systems remains asymptotically stable and satisfies a prescrinbed \(H_\infty\) performance level.

Stabilization of Neutral Time-Delay Systems

2009
This paper addresses the stabilization problem for neutral time-delay systems. Starting from a transfer approach, we develop a general algebraic framework for the study of the stabilization. The stability considered in this paper is the exponential one.

Oscillatory Phenomena in Neutral Delay Differential Equations

Acta Mathematica Hungarica, 1997
Consider the general odd-order delay differential equation of the type \[ x^{(n)}(t)+\sum^m_{i=1} q_ix(t-\sigma_i)=0. \tag{*} \] The authors show that if \(n\) is odd and \[ \frac 1n \left(\sum^m_{i=1}\sigma^n_i q_i\right)^{1/n}>\frac 1e \] then every solution to (*) oscillates.

Sensitivity to Infinitesimal Delays in Neutral Equations

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2002
Sensitivity of neutral functional-differential equations to infinitesimal changes of the delays is caused by the behavior of the essential spectrum, which is determined by the roots of an exponential polynomial. \textit{C. E. Avellar} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 73, 434-452 (1980; Zbl 0435.30005)] have considered the case of multiple fixed and nonzero delays.

Stabilization of Stochastic Highly Nonlinear Delay Systems With Neutral Term

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2023
In this article, stochastic highly nonlinear delay systems with neutral term are studied, which does not satisfy the linear growth condition. Under the local Lipschtiz condition and the polynomial growth condition, we study the existence and uniqueness ...
