In this introductory paper, no attempt will be made to describe any particular model or to compare different models. Emphasis will be given to the physical phenomena occurring in the terrestrial upper atmosphere.

A Neutral Model for the Evolution of Diet Breadth
The American Naturalist, 2017Variation in diet breadth among organisms is a pervasive feature of the natural world that has resisted general explanation. In particular, trade-offs in the ability to use one resource at the expense of another have been expected but rarely detected. We explore a spatial model for the evolution of specialization, motivated by studies of plant-feeding ...

A Risk-Neutral Stochastic Volatility Model
International Journal of Theoretical and Applied Finance, 1998We construct a risk-neutral stochastic volatility model using no-arbitrage pricing principles. We then study the behavior of the implied volatility of options that are deep in and out of the money according to this model. The motivation of this study is to show the difference in the asymptotic behavior of the distribution tails between the usual Black–

OPINION EVOLUTION MODEL WITH THE STATE OF NEUTRALITY
International Journal of Modern Physics C, 2004We propose a mechanism of opinion evolution in a closed system. The opinion evolution process can be described as the disposal of multi-information inputs with one opinion accepted as the output. We introduce the opinion neutrality in the system, observing the characteristics of the opinion evolution process; and find that the initial opinion ...

Species ages in neutral biodiversity models
Theoretical Population Biology, 2014Biogeography seeks to understand the mechanisms that drive biodiversity across long temporal and large spatial scales. Theoretical models of biogeography can be tested by comparing their predictions of quantities such as species ages against empirical estimates.

Neutrality and Non‐Neutrality of Money In A Classical‐Type Model
Pacific Economic Review, 2002Abstract. This paper modifies the simple classical model by introducing capacity utilization that varies across the course of the business cycle. By making the capacity usage a choice variable that turns out to be sensitive to changes in the price level, we show that the classical model loses its fundamental feature, namely the neutrality of money. A note on multidimensional models of neutral mutation
Theoretical Population Biology, 1977Abstract A generalisation of the Ohta-Kimura charge-state model for neutral mutation, in which alleles are represented by points in d -dimensional space, seems appropriate in the light of recent experimental developments. It is noted that existing methods of analysis extend almost trivially to this more general model, and the point is illustrated by

Abstract This chapter articulates and defends a particular way of holding a mere-difference view of disability—the ‘Value-Neutral Model’ of disability. The goal of this account is to give a model of disability according to which disability is mere-difference, and yet may still be viewed as (in a restricted sense) a harm.

Quasi‐Neutral Modeling of Gliding Arc Plasmas
Plasma Processes and Polymers, 2016The modelling of a gliding arc discharge (GAD) is studied by means of the quasineutral (QN) plasma modelling approach. The model is first evaluated for reliability and proper description of a gliding arc discharge at atmospheric pressure, by comparing with a more elaborate non‐quasineutral (NQN) plasma model in two different geometries – a 2D ...

Diallelic multilocus model of neutral genes
Journal of Mathematical Biology, 1987The evolution of a completely linked diallelic multilocus system of neutral genes in a finite population is studied. A diffusion model incorporating random genetic drift and mutation is used. We neglect the recombination. To begin with, the spectral analysis of the Kolmogorov backward equation for this model is investigated.
