Rational Tuning of Hygroscopic Oscillation of Stacked Nanoflake Assemblies for Continuous Ambient Energy Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Stacked nanoflake assembly (SNA) membranes can oscillate autonomously, offering opportunities for soft actuation and energy harvesting. This work uncovers the physical mechanism behind the sustained oscillation of SNA membranes in gradient humidity and identifies three governing dimensionless parameters, enabling rational design for optimizing SNA ...

Review of Modulation Algorithms for Neutral-Point-Clamped Multilevel Converter

open access: yesRE&PQJ
Many modulation techniques have been developed along the years to provide in medium and high-voltage converters a high power quality and minimum switching frequency. This paper introduces some popular modulation techniques for multilevel converters, whose major challenges are obtain the previous two features.

Bonding of Acrylic Pressure‐Sensitive Adhesives and Silicone Elastomers via Surfactant‐Assisted Plasma Activation for Soft Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A simple strategy is presented for bonding acrylic PSAs and silicone elastomers by curing surfactant‐doped Ecoflex on oxygen‐plasma‐treated VHB. The interface reaches a maximum strength of 1.6 N/mm (over 20 times that of the control) while retaining material compliance.

Hydrogel‐Based 3D‐Printable Stretchable Pressure Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We present a carbon‐black‐functionalized double‐network granular hydrogel (DNGH) pressure sensor capable of detecting pressures from 200 Pa, equivalent to a light finger touch, up to 500 kPa. The sensor exhibits signal drifts below 3.5% after 800 cycles and response times around 80 ms. Leveraging this broad sensing range, we 3D print this material into
