Numerical investigation of losses in a double-suction multistage centrifugal pump and its mitigation using baffle plates

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2022
The flow in a double-suction twin-volute five-stage centrifugal pump is studied numerically using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) calculations. The pump performance at various flow rates obtained numerically are compared with the theoretically results.

Numerical study on the hydrodynamic performance and internal flow of an axial-flow pump with various inlet flow angles

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
In this study, numerical simulation was employed to predict the performance and internal flow characteristics of the inlet of an axial-flow pump by assigning an absolute flow angle to the inlet guide vane (IGV) trailing-edge flow.

LMI-Based Delayed Output Feedback Controller Design for a Class of Fractional-Order Neutral-Type Delay Systems Using Guaranteed Cost Control Approach

open access: yesEntropy, 2022
In this research work, we deal with the stabilization of uncertain fractional-order neutral systems with delayed input. To tackle this problem, the guaranteed cost control method is considered.

Influence of inflow directions and setting angle of inlet guide vane on hydraulic performance of an axial-flow pump

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Inlet flow direction significantly affects the hydraulic performance of an axial-flow pump. Usually, the research papers ignore this phenomenon, resulting in discrepancies between simulation and experimental results.

Effect of impeller inlet diameter on saddle-shaped positive slope and non-uniform flow patterns at low flow rates of a mixed-flow pump

open access: yesEngineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics, 2022
Most mixed-flow pumps obtain a saddle-like Q-P curve with a backflow, owing to the increased incidence angle at low flow rates. The backflow was developed near the shroud and followed downstream again at its end to form a recirculating flow. The rotating

Existence and controllability of Hilfer fractional neutral differential equations with time delay via sequence method

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2022
This paper deals with the existence and approximate controllability outcomes for Hilfer fractional neutral evolution equations. To begin, we explore existence outcomes using fractional computations and Banach contraction fixed point theorem. In addition,

Numerical investigation on functional limitations of the anti-stall fin for an axial fan: one-factor analyses

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
The stall in an axial fan is directly related to detrimental phenomena such as performance degradation, vibration, noise, and flow instability at low flow rates.

A Note on Existence of Mild Solutions for Second-Order Neutral Integro-Differential Evolution Equations with State-Dependent Delay

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2021
This article is mainly devoted to the study of the existence of solutions for second-order abstract non-autonomous integro-differential evolution equations with infinite state-dependent delay.

Asymptotic Behavior of Solutions in Nonlinear Neutral System with Two Volterra Terms

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
In this manuscript, we generalise previous results in the literature by providing sufficient conditions for the matrix measure to guarantee the stability, asymptotic stability and exponential stability of a neutral system of differential equations.

Power system neutral point grounding

open access: yesJournal of Energy - Energija, 2022
The method used for neutral point grounding is very important for power network operation. There are many ways of grounding, which are used in practice, and the decision on the method of neutral grounding depends on the situation in the network connected to the substation.
