Low-temperature formation of pyridine and (iso)quinoline via neutral–neutral reactions
Aromatic molecules represent fundamental building blocks in prebiotic chemistry and are contemplated as vital precursors to DNA and RNA nitrogen bases. However, despite the identification of some 300 molecules in extraterrestrial environments, the pathways to pyridine (C5H5N), pyridinyl (C5H4N), and (iso)quinoline (C9H7N) the simplest representative of

T-cell immunity in the experimental autoimmune vasculitis rat model
ANCA-vasculitis (AAV) is a small-vessel vasculitis characterized by the presence of autoantibodies against proteinase-3 (PR3) or myeloperoxidase (MPO). The dynamics of the T-cell response within tissues is studied best in animal models. It was the aim to

Advances in atomic oxygen simulation [PDF]
Atomic oxygen (AO) present in the atmosphere at orbital altitudes of 200 to 700 km has been shown to degrade various exposed materials on Shuttle flights. The relative velocity of the AO with the spacecraft, together with the AO density, combine to yield

Ionizable lipid nanoparticles target multiple pathological pathways in neurodegeneration. The designed self‐assembled materials undergo a pH‐triggered structural transformation from a cubosome/hexosome coexistence to a hexosome phase, enhancing intracellular delivery of a multi‐target phytochemical formulation. The antioxidant‐loaded pH‐responsive LNPs

Nanotherapies for Atherosclerosis: Targeting, Catalysis, and Energy Transduction
Atherosclerosis management is hindered by poor drug targeting and plaque heterogeneity. Nanotechnology overcomes these barriers via three core strategies: (1) target‐engineered nanocarriers that achieve lesion‐specific precision via ligand modification, biomimetic camouflage, stimuli‐responsive release, and self‐propelling nanomotors; (2) catalytic ...
