Milli-magnetic monopole dark matter and the survival of galactic magnetic fields

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
Dark sectors with Abelian gauge symmetries can interact with ordinary matter via kinetic mixing. In such scenarios, magnetic monopoles of a broken dark U(1) will appear in our sector as confined milli-magnetically charged objects under ordinary ...

Searches for Violation of CPT Symmetry and Lorentz Invariance with Astrophysical Neutrinos

open access: yesUniverse, 2022
Neutrinos are a powerful tool for searching physics beyond the standard model of elementary particles. In this review, we present the status of the research on charge-parity-time (CPT) symmetry and Lorentz invariance violations using neutrinos emitted ...

On the question of the radius of elementary particles [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2023
This article belongs to the field of theoretical physics, specifically the study of elementary particles. We discuss the parameters of elementary particles, their interactions with gravitational potential and magnetic fields, stability with respect to ...

About an (Im‐)Possible Anomaly in Band Structure Theory

open access: yesphysica status solidi (b), Volume 260, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023
The envelope function approach is used to establish fundamental analogies between certain types of 2D band structures and classes of elementary particles known as luxons, tardyons, and tachyons. Anomalies of the three fundamental spinor band structures and in the spectrum of Landau levels are discussed.

Neutrino decay and atmospheric neutrinos [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1999
We reconsider neutrino decay as an explanation for atmospheric neutrino observations. We show that if the mass-difference relevant to the two mixed states _ and _ is very small (< 10^{-4} eV^2), then a very good fit to the observations can be obtained with decay of a component of _ to a sterile neutrino and a Majoron. We discuss how the K2K

Knowledge as a collective status

open access: yesAnalytic Philosophy, Volume 63, Issue 4, Page 277-304, December 2022., 2022
Abstract While social epistemology is a diverse field, much of it still understands knowledge as an individual status—albeit an individual status that crucially depends on various social factors (such as testimony). Further, the literature on group knowledge until now has primarily focused on limited, specialized groups that may be said to know this or

Solar neutrinos and neutrino physics [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal A, 2016
Solar neutrino studies triggered and largely motivated the major developments in neutrino physics in the last 50 years. Theory of neutrino propagation in different media with matter and fields has been elaborated. It includes oscillations in vacuum and matter, resonance flavor conversion and resonance oscillations, spin and spin-flavor precession, etc.

The Spectrum of Light Emitted by LED Using a CMOS Sensor-Based Digital Camera and Its Application

open access: yesSensors, 2022
We introduced a digital photo image analysis in color space to estimate the spectrum of fluor components dissolved in a liquid scintillator sample through the hue and wavelength relationship.

Neutrino velocity and neutrino oscillations [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2012
We study distances of propagation and the group velocities of the muon neutrinos in the presence of mixing and oscillations assuming that Lorentz invariance holds. Oscillations lead to distortion of the $ _ $ wave packet which, in turn, changes the group velocity and the distance $ _ $ travels. We find that the change of the distance, $d_{osc}$, is
