A Renormalizable Neutrino Mass Model With (Z2 × Z4)⋊Z2(II) Symmetry

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In this work, a renormalizable neutrino mass model based on (Z2 × Z4)⋊Z2 (II) symmetry is proposed for the modification of the μ − τ reflection symmetry. The hierarchies of lepton masses can be naturally realized, and the lepton mixing is addressed.

Neutrinos in cosmology

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2004
The current status of neutrino cosmology is reviewed, from the question of neutrino decoupling and the presence of sterile neutrinos to the effects of neutrinos on the cosmic microwave background and large scale structure. Particular emphasis is put on cosmological neutrino mass measurements.

Measurement of Neutrino Oscillations with Neutrino Telescopes [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2013
IceCube and ANTARES are the world-largest neutrino telescopes. They are successfully taking data, producing a wealth of scientific results. Whereas their main goal is the detection of cosmic neutrinos with energies in the TeV-PeV range, both have demonstrated their capability to measure neutrino oscillations by studying atmospheric neutrinos with ...

Neutrino astronomy with supernova neutrinos [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, 2018
Modern neutrino facilities will be able to detect a large number of neutrinos from the next Galactic supernova. We investigate the viability of the triangulation method to locate a core-collapse supernova by employing the neutrino arrival time differences at various detectors.

Operation of a Modular 3D-Pixelated Liquid Argon Time-Projection Chamber in a Neutrino Beam

open access: yesInstruments
The 2x2 Demonstrator, a prototype for the Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) liquid argon (LAr) Near Detector, was exposed to the Neutrinos from the Main Injector (NuMI) neutrino beam at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab).

IceCube Sterile Neutrino Searches [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Anomalies in short baseline experiments have been interpreted as evidence for additional neutrino mass states with large mass splittings from the known, active flavors.

Analytical Description of the Distributions of Primary and Secondary Cosmogenic Particles

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
In this work, we present an analytical description of the energy distributions of primary and secondary cosmogenic particles on Earth in terms of parameters having clear physical meaning. A modified power law is assumed for energy distributions, incorporating terms such as energy loss/decay, which are effective at low energies, and a source term, which

The Potential for Hadronic Particle Acceleration in Galactic Pulsar Wind Nebulae

open access: yesUniverse
Pulsar wind nebulae (PWNe), formed when the wind originating from a rapidly rotating neutron star flows out into its surroundings, have now been observed across the electromagnetic spectrum from the radio to the PeV gamma-ray regime.

Reactor Neutrinos [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We review the status and the results of reactor neutrino experiments, that toe the cutting edge of neutrino research. Short baseline experiments have provided the measurement of the reactor neutrino spectrum, and are still searching for important ...

Spectral Analysis of Flickering Gamma‐Ray Flashes Observed During the ALOFT 2023 Campaign

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 130, Issue 23, 16 December 2025.
Abstract We examine a newly discovered category of high‐energy radiation events called flickering gamma‐ray flashes (FGF) detected during the airborne lightning observatory for FEGS and TGFs campaign in July 2023. These FGFs are characterized by highly pulsating gamma‐ray emissions that have no detectable concurrent optical or radio signals (Ostgaard ...
