Constraints on neutrino mixing with a 17-keV neutrino

We examine the constraints on the neutrino mass matrix consistent with the recent rediscovery of a 17-keV neutrino, the absence of neutrinoless double-{beta} decay, and neutrino oscillation experiments. There are two cases consistent with the data, assuming only three Majorana neutrinos. One possibility is that the muon neutrino is heavier than 190 keV,

The solar neutrino problem: Mixing of neutrinos and mixing in the sun

I review the current status of the solar neutrino problem, including the exciting possibility of matter enhanced neutrino oscillations. Neutrino flux measurements, independent of questions of solar dynamics, appear to leave only one competing candidate astrophysical solution, at least in the case of steady-state solar models.

Neutrino mixing: A theoretical overview

We present a concise review of the recent idea formulated to explain the values of the masses and mixing of neutrinos. Models based on discrete non-Abelian flavour groups are compared to the ones bases on the simpler U(1) mechanism, showing that the description of the neutrino data is still possible for both approaches.
