Neutrino oscillation experiments
Il Nuovo Cimento C, 2011In this paper, we give a short overview of neutrino oscillation experiments with emphasis on current European programmes of interest for INFN and on mid-term perspectives. In particular, we discuss the results that strengthen the standard three-family interpretation of leptonic mixing and the tension originating from the persistent LSND-Miniboone ...

Atmospheric neutrino data and neutrino oscillations
Physical Review D, 1993Several calculations of the upward throughgoing and stopping muon fluxes produced by atmospheric, or cosmic ray, neutrinos interacting in the material surrounding underground detectors are compared and the uncertainties in the calculations estimated.

Solar neutrino observations and neutrino oscillations
Physical Review D, 1990The results of recent Kamiokande-II and {sup 37}Cl solar-neutrino experiments are quantitatively analyzed assuming the Mikheyev-Smirnov-Wolfenstein solution to the solar-neutrino problem. It is found that the parameter region known as the large mass'' solution to the solar-neutrino problem is disfavored by a little more than 1 {sigma} while the small ...

Neutrino oscillations in dense neutrino gases
Physical Review D, 1993We consider oscillations of neutrinos under conditions in which the neutrino density is sufficiently large that neutrino-neutrino interactions cannot be neglected. A formalism is developed to treat this highly nonlinear system. Numerical analysis reveals a rich array of phenomena.
