Abstract My career has included astrophysics and space physics, always with a theoretical emphasis. My first papers calculated nuclear reaction rates in dense stars, particularly neutron stars, but I branched out to other areas or theoretical astrophysics.

NuFit-6.0: updated global analysis of three-flavor neutrino oscillations [PDF]
We present an updated global analysis of neutrino oscillation data as of September 2024. The parameters θ12, θ13, $$ \Delta {m}_{21}^2 $$ ∆ m 21 2 , and $$ \mid \Delta {m}_{3\ell}^2\mid $$ ∣ ∆ m 3 ℓ 2 ∣ (ℓ = 1, 2) are well ...

Entropic uncertainty relation in neutrino oscillations
Neutrino oscillation is deemed as an interesting physical phenomenon and shows the nonclassical features made apparently by the Leggett–Garg inequality. The uncertainty principle is one of the fundamental features that distinguishes the quantum world to ...

Abstract We define the spatial clustering of X‐rays within Jupiter's northern auroral regions by classifying their distributions into “X‐ray auroral structures.” Using data from Chandra during Juno's main mission observations (24 May 2016 to 8 September 2019), we define five X‐ray structures based on their ionospheric location and calculate the ...

Neutrino oscillations in supernovae: Angular moments and fast instabilities [PDF]
Recent theoretical work indicates that the neutrino radiation in core-collapse supernovae may be susceptible to flavor instabilities that set in far behind the shock, grow extremely rapidly, and have the potential to profoundly affect supernova dynamics ...

Abstract Despite being widely recognized, the importance of deep layers thermohaline and mixing processes in the ocean circulation and variability is still poorly investigated, especially in the Mediterranean Sea. This limits understanding and parametrizing deep dynamics, which result in evident biases in the global circulation representation by ...

Phenomenology of neutrino oscillations [PDF]
We review the status of several phenomenological topics of current interest in neutrino oscillations: (i) Solar neutrino oscillations after the first Sudbury Neutrino Observatory measurements, including both model-independent and model-dependent results; (ii) Dominant nu_mu-->nu_tau oscillations of atmospheric and K2K neutrinos, and possible ...

Monitoring Deep Sea Currents With Seafloor Distributed Acoustic Sensing
Abstract Underwater fiber optic cables commonly traverse a variety of seafloor conditions, which leads to an uneven mechanical coupling between the cable and the ocean bottom. On rough seafloor bathymetry, some cable portions might be suspended and thus susceptible to vortex‐induced vibrations (VIV) driven by deep ocean currents.
