Hidden No More: Spotlight on Tidal Disruption Events in Active Galactic Nuclei

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, Volume 347, Issue 5, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Tidal disruption events (TDEs) are typically discovered in previously quiescent galaxies. However, earlier studies have revealed a handful of TDEs occurring in pre‐existing active galactic nuclei (AGN). We discuss AT2019aalc, a promising TDE candidate in an AGN, and compare it to similar sources.

Methods to estimate marine functional connectivity: A primer

open access: yesEcological Applications, Volume 36, Issue 4, June 2026.
Abstract Organism movement is a key process in the transfer of individuals, genes, functional traits, matter, and energy among habitat patches, at sea and across the land–sea interface. The resulting fluxes, collectively termed marine functional connectivity (MFC), underpin planetary health and an array of ecosystem services.

Clarity through the neutrino fog: constraining new forces in dark matter detectors

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The PandaX-4T and XENONnT experiments present indications of Coherent Elastic Neutrino Nucleus Scattering (CEνNS) from 8B solar neutrinos at 2.6σ and 2.7σ, respectively.

Neutrino Oscillations and Lorentz Invariance Violation

open access: yesUniverse, 2020
This work explores the possibility of resorting to neutrino phenomenology to detect evidence of new physics, caused by the residual signals of the supposed quantum structure of spacetime.

Investigating the Impact of Rocket Exhaust on Ionospheric Disturbances

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 24, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract The study of chemical releases into the ionosphere is crucial for understanding ionospheric dynamics and managing space environmental effects. In this work, we investigate the impact of rocket exhaust emissions, particularly CO2 and H2O, on electron density in the ionosphere.

The physics case for neutrino–neutrino collisions

open access: yesJournal of Physics G: Nuclear and Particle Physics
Abstract Addressing the mass origin and properties of neutrinos is of strong interest to particle physics, baryogenesis and cosmology. Popular explanations involve physics beyond the standard model, for example, the dimension-5 Weinberg operator or heavy Majorana neutrinos arising from ‘seesaw’ models.

Physics of Massive Neutrinos [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2005
I summarize the present status of global analyses of neutrino oscillations, including the most recent KamLAND and K2K data, as well as the latest solar and atmospheric neutrino fluxes. I give the allowed ranges of the three--flavour oscillation parameters from the current worlds' global neutrino data sample, their best fit values and discuss the small ...

DsTau: study of tau neutrino production with nuclear emulsion in the CERN-SPS

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2022
Tau neutrino is one of the least known particle of Standard Model; there are only few measurements with a limited statistics. The DONUT experiment first reported the tau neutrino interaction cross-section but their measurement suffers from large ...

GOES‐R Series X‐Ray Sensor (XRS): 2. On‐Orbit Measurements and Calibrations

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract An X‐Ray Sensor (XRS) has been onboard each of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) since 1975. XRS measures full‐disk soft X‐ray irradiance in two wavelength bands, 0.05–0.4 nm and 0.1–0.8 nm.

EXPERIMENTAL NEUTRINO PHYSICS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2005
The current experimental status of neutrino physics is reviewed. It contains the evidences for a non-vanishing neutrino rest mass from neutrino oscillation searches. In addition an outlook is given on determining the various mixing matrix elements and mass differences more precisely with new experiments.
