Neutrino mixing and neutrino telescopes [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics, 2007
Measuring flux ratios of ultra-high energy neutrinos is an alternative method to determine the neutrino mixing angles and the CP phase delta. We conduct a systematic analysis of the neutrino mixing probabilities and of various flux ratios measurable at neutrino telescopes.

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS IN ULTRA-HIGH ENERGY NEUTRINO ASTRONOMY

open access: yesActa Polytechnica, 2013
We outline the current situation in ultrahigh energy (UHE) cosmic ray physics, pointing out the remaining problems, in particular the puzzle concerning the origin of the primary radiation and the role of neutrino astronomy for locating the sources ...

The KM3NeT infrastructure: Status and first results

open access: yesSciPost Physics Proceedings, 2023
KM3NeT is a research infrastructure in construction under the Mediterranean Sea. It hosts two large volume neutrino Cherenkov telescopes: ARCA at a depth of 3500 m, located offshore Sicily, and ORCA, 2500 m under the sea level, offshore the southern ...

KM3NeT acoustic positioning and detection system [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
In the Mediterranean Sea, the KM3NeT Collaboration is constructing a the deep-sea research infrastructure hosting next generation neutrino telescopes. In the KM3NeT telescopes the Cherenkov radiation induced by the secondary charged particles produced in

The Baikal Neutrino Telescope

open access: yesPhysics of Atomic Nuclei, 2006
We review the present status of the Baikal Neutrino Experiment and present results of a search for upward-going atmospheric neutrinos and magnetic monopoles obtained with the detector NT200. The results of a search for very high energy neutrinos are presented and an upper limit on the extraterrestrial diffuse neutrino flux is obtained.

Indirect detection of Dark Matter with the ANTARES Neutrino Telescope

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
One of the main objectives of the ANTARES neutrino telescope is the search for neutrinos produced in self-annihilation of Dark Matter (DM) particles. The analysis for different sources of DM (Sun, Galactic Center, Earth, …) or DM models (SUSY, Secluded ...

Acoustic parametric techniques for neutrino telescopes [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
In this work, we present a compact transmitter array based on the parametric acoustic sources effect able to reproduce the acoustic signature of an Ultra-High Energy neutrino interaction in water.

Indirect Searches for Dark Matter with Neutrino Telescopes [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Extraterrestrial messengers can probe the presence of dark matter in the Milky Way and beyond. Among others, sizable anomalous fluxes of high-energy neutrinos expected from pair annihilation and decay of dark matter particles, giving neutrino telescopes ...

The ANTARES neutrino telescope [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of 35th International Conference of High Energy Physics — PoS(ICHEP 2010), 2011
The ANTARES collaboration has completed since May 2008 the construction of the largest neutrino telescope in the Northern hemisphere. Thanks to its modular geometry ANTARES took data also before completion, since the deployment of its first line.
