Neutron-Neutron Scattering Length
Physical Review, 1961The final-state interaction of the two neutrons from the reaction pi / sup -/ + d yields 2n + gamma has a pronounced and distinctive effect on tbe momentum spectrum of the outgoing particles. In particular, the neutron spectrum is sharply peaked in the neighborhood of 2 Mev, with a shape that is quite sensitive to the strength of the nn interaction. In

Neutron radiography with ultracold neutrons
Physics Letters A, 1981Abstract The neutron transmission factor of very thin films may be low if the neutron energy is comparable to the pseudo-potential of the film material. Surprisingly, perhaps, it is relatively easy to obtain neutrons with such low energies in sufficient numbers to produce neutron radiographs.

About neutrons, neutron metrology and neutron spectrometry
Delivered as part of the Soil Moisture Training on 22 January 2025. The project (21GRD08 SoMMet) has received funding from the European Partnership on Metrology, co-financed from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme and by the Participating States.openaire +2 more sources
Neutron Spin-Neutron Orbit Interaction with Slow Neutrons
Physical Review Letters, 1963Measurements were made of the polarization ratio of the scattered intensities for the two neutron spin states for two reflections (110) and (220) for positive angles and for the reflection (110) at negative angles. Very high neutron polarization was available and the intensity was studied as the magnetic field on the crystal was reduced to zero so as ...

Emission of Neutrons and the Neutron Halo of 11Li
1992The matter distribution of the neutron drip-line nuclei has been a subject of intense interest since pioneering radioactive-beam experiments at Berkeley1). Unusually large interaction cross-sections measured at relativistic energies for 11Li,14Be and 17B nuclei were translated into effective matter radii.

International Journal of Radiation Oncology*Biology*Physics, 1982
Abstract Tumor responses depend on a number of factors, of which the intrinsic radiosensitivity of the cells and their oxygenation condition can be considered as most important. Variations of the sensitivity in the cell cycle and differences between resting and proliferating cells are considered to play a smaller part.
