Three-Dimensional Simulation of Neutron Flux Distribution in Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT)

open access: yesTrends in Computational and Applied Mathematics
Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) is one of the most aggressive and difficult-to-treat forms of malignant brain tumor, presenting a high incidence and resistance to conventional treatment methods.

Boosting the Photoluminescence of Au@Cu12 Nanoclusters via Strategic Fluorine‐Atom Ligand‐Shell Engineering

open access: yesJournal of the Chinese Chemical Society, EarlyView.
The photophysical performance of gold‐doped copper‐rich nanoclusters can be tuned by surface functionalization. Subtle ligand modification enhances intermolecular interactions, thereby reducing nonradiative decay and markedly improving photoluminescence. Comparative photographs and quantum yield values (Φ = 55% vs.

A Personal Perspective on Metalloprotein Structure and the Future of Macromolecular X‐Ray Crystallography

open access: yesJournal of the Chinese Chemical Society, EarlyView.
While X‐ray crystallography has been the primary method for determining the structures of metalloproteins, cryoEM has taken over this role, illustrated by [4Fe4S]‐cluster containing proteins deposited in the Protein Data Bank. What will be the role for X‐ray crystallography as cryoEM and machine learning methods dominate the initial structural analysis?

Micellar and Solubilization Properties of Biological Surfactant Surfactin

open access: yesJournal of Surfactants and Detergents, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We studied aqueous solutions of surfactin in the concentration range of 0.001–200 g/L using NMR diffusometry, tensometry and optical microscopy methods. According to tensometry data, the system forms monolayers of surfactant molecules at the water‐air phase boundary at C = 0.02 g/L.
