Requiring that the baryon number of the universe be generated by anomalous electroweak interactions places strong constraints on the minimal supersymmetric standard model. In particular, the electric dipole moment of the neutron must be greater than $10^{

Our work reports that Li⁺ doping in CuInP2S₆ induces coexistence of high‐ and low‐polarization states, which fosters a rich spectrum of topological polar textures, such as bubbles and labyrinth domains. An unconventional flexoelectric effect is also discovered, where strain gradients can mechanically manipulate these polarization states and their ...

No-hair theorem indicates that black holes cannot have their own magnetic dipole moment. They can be weakly magnetized in binary systems with a neutron star companion and an accretion disc of charged particles.

More on Electric Dipole Moment Constraints on Phases in the Constrained MSSM [PDF]
We reconsider constraints on $\cp$-violating phases in the Constrained Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We include the recent calculations of Ibrahim and Nath on the chromoelectric and purely gluonic contributions to the quark electric dipole ...

On the Ordering Mechanism of Cu+ in 2D van der Waals Multiferroic CuCrP2S6
Temperature‐dependent X‐ray single‐crystal diffuse scattering measurements of CuCrP2S6 in the (H, K, 0) plane reveal the gradual emergence and strengthening of short‐range order upon cooling from 230 to 170 K. At intermediate temperatures, diffuse features become pronounced and eventually lock into sharp incommensurate satellite reflections, indicating

Electroweak baryogenesis and electron EDM in the TNMSSM
We have studied the impact of CP-violating (CPV) effects on electroweak baryogenesis (EWBG) and the electric dipole moment (EDM) of electron ( $$d_e$$ d e ), the electric dipole moment (EDM) of mercury neutron ( $$d_n$$ d n ) and the electric dipole ...

Inducing a large neutron electric dipole moment via a quark chromo-electric dipole moment
Abstract We demonstrate that the contributions to the neutron electric dipole moment induced by chromo-electric dipole moments of the light quarks are likely to dominate over those arising from the three-gluon operator considered by Weinberg and from the quark electric dipole moments as examined by Barr and Zee.

Beyond Imperfect Match: Silicon/Graphite Hybrid Anodes for High‐Energy–Density Lithium‐Ion Batteries
Silicon/graphite (Si/Gr) hybrid anodes are limited by Si's large volume change and mismatch with Gr. This review offers mechanistic insights into imperfectly matched Si/Gr hybrid anodes, elucidating heterogeneous lithiation behavior and interfacial failure pathways, and thereby informing the design of durable, high‐energy–density lithium‐ion batteries.

Trapped ion emulation of electric dipole moment of neutral relativistic particles
The electric dipole moments of various neutral elementary particles, such as neutron, neutrinos, certain hypothetical dark matter particles and others, are predicted to exist by the standard model of high energy physics and various extensions of it ...

Uncovering the Interaction Nature of Solvation Shell for Transition‐Metal‐Based Aqueous Batteries
Multiscale analyses are adopted to demystify the interaction and regularize the mechanism of ligand regulation for solvation by the methods of quantum chemistry, molecular dynamics, and wavefunction analyses. ABSTRACT Transition‐metal‐based aqueous batteries, particularly iron and zinc‐based systems, have emerged as promising candidates for energy ...
