Ultra‐Radiostable Covalent Conformationally Interlocked Networks Enabling a Universal Radiometal‐Labeling Platform for Cancer Radioembolization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conjugated poly(imide dioxime)‐based microspheres establish a radiometal coordination‐driven conformational interlocked network with ultra‐high radiostability. This platform enables low‐temperature, multi‐radionuclide labeling for SPECT/PET/MRI imaging and radionuclide therapy. Mechanistic insights from EXAFS and DFT reveal enhanced stability, while in

MEASUREMENT OF THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF PuBe AND 238PuBe NEUTRON SOURCES USING BONNER SPHERE SPECTROMETER WITH A 3He-COUNTER

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2017
The energy and pulse height spectrum of PuBe and 238PuBe neutron sources are measured without taking into account scattered radiation, taking into account this radiation (without the shadow cone) and own scattered radiation from these sources (with a ...

A Disulfide‐Sticker Strategy for Marine Adhesive Coatings: From Deciphering Self‐Assembly Mechanism to Functional Application in Hair Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A disulfide‐sticker strategy, coupled with Ca2+ coordination, drives the hierarchical self‐assembly of a recombinant scallop adhesive protein into fishnet‐like nanostructures, affording a coating with versatile wet adhesion and intrinsic antioxidant activity. This biocompatible coating markedly promotes hair regeneration by activating follicular niches,

Neutrons for studies of radiation hardness

open access: yesIl Nuovo Cimento C, 2020
This paper discusses the neutron irradiations for radiation hardness assurance tests by focusing on high-energy physics applications. Neutron sources commonly used for the testing of electronic components and materials are spallation neutron sources and nuclear reactors.

Enhanced Antibacterial Properties of Lyotropic Liquid Crystalline Nanoparticles via Curvature Modulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid nanostructured particles with increasing negative Gaussian curvature progress from vesicles to P‐cubosomes and D‐cubosomes. This curvature hierarchy enhances interaction with bacterial membranes, promotes membrane remodeling and leakage, and potentiates daptomycin activity against MRSA.

The Origin of Neutron Radiation

open access: yes
AbstractThis chapter presents the various sources of neutrons that are important in nondestructive measurements. These sources include the key mechanisms of spontaneous fission, neutrons from alpha particle reactions on light elements, and induced fission. The characteristics of neutrons resulting from typical sources are presented.

Extended Anionic Network in Mixed‐Valent Nitridocobaltates(I/II) LnCo2N2 (Ln = La, Pr, Nd)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents the high‐pressure synthesis of LnCo2N2 (Ln = La, Pr, Nd) with Co in mixed valent states of +I/+II. The compounds demonstrate the stabilization of a nitridocobaltate with extended anionic Co–N layers where Co is threefold coordinated.

Charge‐Transfer‐Mediated Boron Magneto‐Ionics: Towards Voltage‐Driven Multi‐Ion Transport

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates voltage‐driven multi‐ion transport in FeBO systems, revealing simultaneous motion of B, Fe, and O ions enabled by charge‐transfer effects. By tuning oxidation states through oxygen incorporation, we achieve a transition from electrostatic‐like to electrochemical magneto‐ionic behavior. The findings establish boron magneto‐ionics,
