Anisotropic magnetized neutron star

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2022
As we know, the effect of strong magnetic field causes the anisotropy for the magnetized compact objects. Therefore, in this paper, we have studied the structure properties of anisotropic case of magnetized neutron star.

Coherent Control of Nitrogen Nuclear Spins via the VB−${\rm V}_B^-$‐Center in Hexagonal Boron Nitride

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates coherent control of 15N nuclear spins coupled to VB−${\text{V}}_{\text{B}}^{-}$ centers in isotope‐enriched hexagonal boron nitride. Selective addressing via spin‐state mixing enables Rabi driving, quantum gates, and coherence times exceeding 10 μs$\umu{\rm s}$.

A Coherent Radio Burst from an X-Ray Neutron Star in the Carina Nebula

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
The neutron star zoo comprises several subpopulations that range from energetic magnetars and thermally emitting X-ray neutron stars to radio-emitting pulsars. Despite studies over the last five decades, it has been challenging to obtain a clear physical

Probing neutron star physics using accreting neutron stars

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2010
We give an obervational overview of the accreting neutron stars systems as probes of neutron star physics. In particular we focus on the results obtained from the periodic timing of accreting millisecond X-ray pulsars in outburst and from the ...

Structural Porosity and Low Mineral Density in Enamel Rods Drive Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study uses advanced imaging modalities on multiple length scales to show that molar‐incisor hypomineralization does not present as a locally homogeneous pathology. Instead, microstructural defects, characterized through non‐mineralized, protein‐rich sheaths and an altered mineral structure in between prism rods, resulting in local differences in ...

On the Fifth Force and the Structure of Neutron Star [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1994
In the framework of Thomas-Fermi equation, we have examined the properties of neutron star by assuming the existence of a new intermediate force which is composition dependent.

Bound Debris Expulsion from Neutron Star Merger Remnants

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Many studies have found that neutron star mergers leave a fraction of the stars’ mass in bound orbits surrounding the resulting massive neutron star or black hole. This mass is a site of r -process nucleosynthesis and can generate a wind that contributes

Multipurpose Transparent Nanocomposites for Gamma Spectroscopy, Pulse Shape Discrimination, Thermal Neutron Detection, Radiation Shielding, and High Refractive Index Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Materials exist that are useful for gamma scintillation, radiation shielding, neutron‐gamma pulse shape discrimination (PSD), thermal neutron detection, or high refractive index applications. While certain materials have exhibited optimal performance for each of these applications, none achieve multiple functions.

Monster Radiative Shocks in the Perturbed Magnetospheres of Neutron Stars

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
Magnetospheres of neutron stars can be perturbed by star quakes, interaction in a binary system, or sudden collapse of the star. The perturbations are typically in the kilohertz band and excite magnetohydrodynamic waves.
