Spontaneous scalarization in proto-neutron stars [PDF]
European Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023Proto-neutron stars are born when a highly evolved and massive star collapses under gravity. In this paper, we investigate the spontaneous scalarization in proto-neutron stars.

WIMP Annihilation and Cooling of Neutron Stars [PDF]
Phys.Rev.D77:023006,2008, 2007We study the effect of WIMP annihilation on the temperature of a neutron star. We shall argue that the released energy due to WIMP annihilation inside the neutron stars, might affect the temperature of stars older than 10 million years, flattening out the temperature at $\sim 10^4$ K for a typical neutron star.

Decoupling of a neutron interferometer from temperature gradients [PDF]
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2016Neutron interferometry enables precision measurements that are typically operated within elaborate, multi-layered facilities which provide substantial shielding from environmental noise. These facilities are necessary to maintain the coherence requirements in a perfect crystal neutron interferometer which is extremely sensitive to local environmental ...

Determination of neutron temperature in irradiation channels of reactor [PDF]
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2010The neutron temperature is a characteristic parameter in irradiation channels of reactor. For nuclides which have resonances in the thermal neutron energy range, their Westcott g-factors are different from unity. The values of g-factors and cross-sections of (n, γ) reaction of these nuclides are temperature dependence.

Effect of splitting of the neutron and proton effective mass on nuclear symmetry energy at finite temperature [PDF]
, 2010We present the temperature and density dependence of symmetry energy for nuclear matter at finite temperature based on the approach of the thermodynamics with Skyrme energy density functional. We first classify the Skyrme interactions into 7 groups according to the range of neutron and proton effective mass in neutron matter limit(99.99 per cent ...

Emission of neutrino-antineutrino pairs by hadronic bremsstrahlung processes
EPJ Web of Conferences, 2016We review our recent calculations of neutrino-antineutrino pair production from bremsstrahlung processes in hadronic collisions at temperature and densities relevant for core-collapse supernovae. We focus on neutron-neutron and neutron-α collisions.

Ethane as a Neutron Moderator at Cryogenic Temperatures [PDF]
EPJ Web of ConferencesThe study’s objective is to examine the neutron temperature response, using liquid and solid ethane at various cryogenic temperatures to evaluate the effectiveness of ethane as a cold neutron moderator in compact moderator systems.

Single-shot laser-driven neutron resonance spectroscopy for temperature profiling [PDF]
Nature CommunicationsThe temperature measurement of material inside of an object is one of the key technologies for control of dynamical processes. For this purpose, various techniques such as laser-based thermography and phase-contrast imaging thermography have been studied.

Determining the relaxation time from a temperature-dependent scan of the neutron spin-echo signal amplitude [PDF]
EPJ Web of Conferences, 2022Temperature-dependent scans of the neutron scattering intensity are commonly employed in high energy-resolution quasielastic measurements. Besides serving as a useful diagnostic tool for identifying the temperature range that could give rise to a ...
