Surface Temperature of Magnetized Neutron Stars
We show that the expected inhomogeneous temperature distribution induced at the surface of a neutron star by the anisotropy of heat transport in the magnetized envelope allows us to understand quite well the observed pulse profiles of the four nearby pulsars for which surface thermal emission has been detected.

Two neutron time-of-flight (nToF) detectors have been employed to measure the neutron time-of-flight spectrum in different lines-of-sight, i.e., at the equator plane and the south pole, on Shenguang-III (SG-III) laser facility.

Effect of Finite-temperature β-decay Rates on the Rapid Neutron Capture Process
β -decay is known to play an essential role in the rapid neutron capture process ( r -process) during ( n , γ ) ↔ ( γ , n ) equilibrium and freeze-out when the neutron-rich nuclei decay back to stability.
