Photoswitchable Merocyanine‐Amphiphiles with Programmable Self‐Assembly Times

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A merocyanine‐based amphiphile self‐assembles in water to form visible‐light‐responsive ellipsoids that can be disassembled with visible light and reform abruptly ∼70 minutes after the light is switched off. The kinetics of the light‐induced assembly/disassembly process is controllable by incorporating different co‐surfactants.

Proton first: rationalizing a proton transfer in a protein‐fragment complex

open access: yesChemMedChem, Accepted Article.
We present a combination of experimental and theoretical approaches to decipher the molecular recognition event of benzoic acid complexed with Protein Kinase A. The publicly known crystal structure suggests the protonated form of benzoic acid to be complexed with Protein Kinase A.

A Mechanochemical Route for the Synthesis of Diphenyleneiodonium Salts and the Estimation of Their Relative Solid‐State Reactivities

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, EarlyView.
An efficient mechanochemical route for diphenyleneiodonium (DPI) salt synthesis is reported which offers a sustainable and solvent‐free alternative. The solid‐state reactivities of the reported DPI salts were also assessed with the help of morphology predictions and Hirshfeld surface analysis computations to understand the effect of crystal morphology,

Continuous Flow Block Copolymer Nanoaggregate Synthesis and Their Flow Dialysis Purification

open access: yesChemistry–Methods, EarlyView.
This work details the methodology for the synthesis of block copolymer nanoparticles through continuous flow self‐assembly and purification via flow dialysis. Nanoaggregates are formed by mixing block copolymer solutions in THF with water, followed by dialysis to eliminate excess solvent.
