Quantifying Magnetic Anisotropy of Ferroelectric Fe(II) Square‐Pyramidal Systems Using Torque Magnetometry

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 45, 13 August 2026.
Five‐coordinate, square‐pyramidal Fe(II) complexes adopting polar, non‐centrosymmetric crystal structures exhibit exceptionally large easy‐axis magnetic anisotropy. Ligand‐driven distortions critically control the anisotropy, and the dielectric, Polarization vs Elecric field and piezo response studies confirm intrinsic polarization, positioning these ...

Ni–Cr Substitution in TiFe: An Integrated Experimental–Modeling Study of Phase Stability and Hydride Thermodynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 8, August 2026.
Combined experimental and theoretical approaches reveal how Cr and Ni substitution in TiFe‐based alloys tune lattice expansion and hydride thermodynamics. While both elements increase hydride stability, they exert opposite effects on the entropy of hydrogen desorption, providing new insight into thermodynamic design of AB‐type hydrogen storage ...

Gravitational Radiation From Binary Systems With Time Varying Masses

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 538, Issue 8, August 2026.
We extend the standard approach pioneered in the works by Peters and Mathews to include the mass loss processes of the binary components, by obtaining the variations due to gravitational radiation of the main physical parameters. As an application of our results we consider gravitational radiation emission in binary magnetar systems.

Spatial variability of denudation rates and transient landscape adjustment in low‐deforming mountains (the Strengbach catchment, Vosges Mountains, France)

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 51, Issue 8, August 2026.
Erosion across the landscape is described at first order by a limited number (nine) of homogenous geomorphological and lithological domains. Using a dense set of basin wide denudation rates, it is possible to retrieve the contribution of each litho‐morpho‐domains as a function of their respective surface.

Preparation and Characterization of Black Seed Oil Oleogel and Its Application in Reduced Animal Fat Beef Hamburger Formulations

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
Oleogel was formulated by Black Seed Oil and beeswax/adipic acid as oleogelator. Beeswax was better to improve the rheological and textural properties of oleogels and was chosen for next step. Beef Hamburger with 6%, 9% and 12% animal fat replacement by oleogel were made and physical properties of oleogel formulated hamburger were studied.

Keratan Sulfate: An Electroconductive Glycosaminoglycan at the Interface of Sensory Perception and Neural Signaling

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience Research, Volume 104, Issue 8, August 2026.
Laboratory studies show KS has electroconductive properties with the ability to trap and transport protons in neurotransductive processes (Grotthuss proton shuttling). This maintains electrochemical gradients and fluxes at the neuronal cell surface in neural activation. Such processes are central to neuronal cell signaling and communication.

An ion treatment planning framework for inclusion of nanodosimetric ionization detail through cluster dose

open access: yesMedical Physics, Volume 53, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Background Nanodosimetry relates the cumulative or statistical moments of Ionization Detail (ID) with biological endpoints of relevance to cancer radiotherapy using charged particles. This association suggests to develop an additional physics‐detailed layer of modeling that may complement biological modeling and treatment planning.

Protein Data Bank Japan: A unified portal for integrating structural and chemical data to explore protein–ligand interactions in PDB and PubChem

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 35, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Protein Data Bank Japan (https://pdbj.org/) is the Asian hub of three‐dimensional (3D) macromolecular structure data and a founding member of the global Protein Data Bank (PDB) network. Over two decades, we have curated and distributed experimentally determined structures, complementing international collaborations with Research Collaboratory ...
