Transport Properties of Superfluid Phonons in Neutron Stars

open access: yesUniverse, 2021
We review the effective field theory associated with the superfluid phonons that we use for the study of transport properties in the core of superfluid neutrons stars in their low temperature regime.

Study and Application of Multi-level Acceleration Theory for High-fidelity Neutron Transport Calculation

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu, 2022
In order to solve the time-consuming problem of high-fidelity neutron transport calculation, the multi-level acceleration theory was proposed. For iterative process, the iterative acceleration was utilized to ease the computational burden.

Invariant Imbedding and Neutron Transport Theory III-Neutron-Neutron Collision Processes [PDF]

open access: yesIndiana University Mathematics Journal, 1959
Abstract : The effects on criticality of neutron-neutron collisions involving annihilation are investigated for one-dimensional, single and multi-group cases. The analytic treatment shows that regardless of the magnitude of the cross section for collision between moving neutrons, there is no critical length (mass).

Spectral-Nodal Deterministic Methodology for Neutron Shielding Calculations using the X, Y - geometry Multigroup Transport Equation in the Discrete Ordinates Formulation

open access: yesVetor, 2021
In this work, we present the most recent numerical results in a nodal approach, which resulted in the development of a new numerical spectral nodal method, based on the spectral analysis of the multigroup, isotropic scattering neutron transport equations

Neutron angular flux reconstruction in slab geometry using multigroup discrete ordinates transport models

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Radiation Sciences, 2023
In this article, we present an application of the coarse-mesh Deterministic Spectral Method (SDM) to generate multigroup angular fluxes in one-dimensional spatial domains using the neutron transport stationary equation, in the formulation of discrete ...

Preliminary Study on the Thermal Neutron Scattering Cross-Section for HinH2O in Small Modular Reactors

open access: yesJournal of Nuclear Engineering, 2023
Neutron thermalization leads to the complexity of the scattering cross-section calculation, which influences the accuracy of the neutron transport calculation in the thermal energy range. The higher precision of thermal scattering data is demanded in the

Neutron resonance cross sections evaluation based on the phase shift deep neural network [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
Neutron resonance cross sections are essential in many nuclear science and application fields. Evaluated nuclear libraries usually derive neutron resonance parameters using R-matrix theory.

Coherence Effects and Neutrino Pair Bremsstrahlung in Neutron Stars [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We calculate the rate of energy radiation by bremsstrahlung of neutrino pairs by baryons in neutron stars employing a transport model in which neutrinos couple to baryons with spectral width.
