RhodaMal Dyes: Novel Red Emissive Fluorophores as Probes for High Contrast Live‐Cell Imaging

Incorporation of malononitrile into the traditional rhodol framework furnishes RhodaMal (Rhoda = Rhodamine, Mal = Malononitrile;) dyes, a new class of red emissive push–pull chromophores.
