Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Metacampanella gen. nov.: The Campanella dendrophora complex

open access: yesMycology
Metacampanella is proposed as a new genus in Family Marasmiaceae to accommodate a small group of six species morphologically resembling Tetrapyrgos or Campanella but molecularly distinct from both genera. Newly described taxa include M. costaricensis, M.

A NEW GENUS OF MYRMELEONIDÆ

open access: yesThe Canadian Entomologist, 1901
Hagen, in his “Stray Notes on Myrmeleonidæ,” published in the Canadian Entomolgist for 1887 (Vol. XIX., p. 210), called attention to the fact that there are several species of ant-lion-flies in this country which lack tibial spurs. He placed these species in Maracanda, McLach., a genus based on one species from Turkestan. McLachlan's description of the
