The PP2A‐B56 Binding Site LxxIxE Contributes to Asp‐Mediated Spindle Pole Stability
ABSTRACT The organization of microtubules into a mitotic spindle is critical for animal cell proliferation and involves the cooperation of hundreds of proteins whose molecular roles and regulation are not fully understood. The protein product of the Drosophila gene abnormal spindle, Asp, is a microtubule‐associated protein required for correct mitotic ...

Sensitivity and specificity of a rapid point-of-care test for active yaws: a comparative study
Background: To eradicate yaws, national control programmes use the Morges strategy (initial mass treatment and biannual resurveys). The resurvey component is designed to actively detect and treat remaining yaws cases and is initiated on the basis of ...

ARC Expands the DAAM1 Microexon‐Mediated Actin–RHOA/ROCK Interplay
ABSTRACT Actin cytoskeleton and its dynamics play a crucial role in synaptic function, influencing dendritic spines' structural and functional plasticity. Recent findings unveiled the significance of alternative splicing of a neural‐specific microexon in DAAM1 in modulating actin's role in synaptic processes.

VOCALIZATION OF THE CROCODILE SKINK, TRIBOLONOTUS GRACILIS (DE ROOY, 1909), AND EVIDENCE OF PARENTAL CARE. [PDF]
The crocodile or spiny skinks, Tribolonotus, comprise eight secretive semi-fossorial lizards, which are generally found under vegetation in the immediate vicinity of water (Greer and Parker, 1968; O'Shea, 1991, 1994; Rogner, 1997). Tribolonotus gracilis (

The present study classifies gender systems of 20 languages in the New Guinea region, an often neglected area in typological research, according to five criteria used by Di Garbo (2014) for African languages. The results show that gender in New Guinea is diverse, although around half of the languages have two-gendered sex- based systems with semantic ...

Antiprotozoal activity of highly substituted pyrazole and pyrimidine derivates
To further extend the structure‐activity relationships of previously reported antimalarial anilino‐pyrazoles VI, trisubstituted pyrazoles 13‐15 and pyrimidines 16 and 17 were designed and synthesized. The novel derivatives were prepared thorough a divergent, chemo‐selective approach starting from N,S‐acetal intermediates.
