A Refutation of Guinea's "Understanding SAT is in P" [PDF]
In this work, we summarize and critique the paper "Understanding SAT is in P" by Alejandro S\'anchez Guinea [arXiv:1504.00337]. The paper claims to present a polynomial-time solution for the NP-complete language 3-SAT. We show that Guinea's algorithm is flawed and does not prove 3-SAT is in P.

Transparency or Map‐Washing? Digital Geospatial Visualisation Tools in the Palm Oil Industry
ABSTRACT We introduce the notion of map‐washing and ask whether digital geospatial visualisation (DGV) tools distort information or provide greater supply chain transparency. Map‐washing explains a process of disclosing spatial information that has little or no value to the intended users, but rather creates, conforms to or distorts a particular ...

The present study classifies gender systems of 20 languages in the New Guinea region, an often neglected area in typological research, according to five criteria used by Di Garbo (2014) for African languages. Our findings demonstrate that continental differences and legal origin could moderate

Simple model of anisotropic pairing with repulsive interactions [PDF]
A simple tight binding model with repulsive interactions is studied. The inclusion of more than one orbital per site leads to assisted hopping effects, and, when the orbitals involved have different symmetries, to an anisotropic superconducting phase. Superconductivity exists for all fillings, and for all values of the on site repulsion.

Periodontitis presenting among betel quid users: A case series
Abstract Background Betel leaf chewing habit has been studied extensively, as it has been an ancient practice in many Asian countries. This case series addresses the presentation
