The Epidemiology of AIDS in New Jersey

The epidemiology of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome in New Jersey is presented for the period 1982–1986. Additional data are also presented for 1987. A total of 1,728 nonincarcerated adult AIDS cases were diagnosed in the period 1982–1986. The largest number of cases occurred in the counties that contain sizable urban populations.
