Consequences of a possible new light pseudoscalar particle
Physical Review D, 1986The coupling to u-italic and d-italic quarks of a possible new light pseudoscalar particle observed in heavy-ion collisions is estimated to be of the order 10/sup -3/ from rare ..pi.. and K-italic decays.

A new dependent model for particle sizing with light extinction
Journal of Aerosol Science, 1995Abstract The “dependent model” is one of the widely used algorithms in light extinction particle sizing. But how to determine the upper and lower limits of the integral to match the size range of measured particles is still a problem with this algorithm.

New method in elastic light scattering from Mie-particles
2007Particles in the size range 200 < D < 2000 rim have enough information in their scattering function for a general interpretation procedure. The experimenter is faced with two basic problems. There is an essential loss of information caused by the cutoff, and the scattering theory of Mie has to be used for the description of the scattering process.

How French sheds new light on scalar particles
2017Abstract This paper examines the behavior of the French scalar focus-sensitive particles même, quand même, ne serait-ce que, and seulement as compared to English even and only. I first show that French même displays a more restricted distribution than even; this behavior and that of its antonym quand même argue for the scope

New Physical Principle for Interference of Light and Material Particles
2017Abstract To describe wave interference, a wave function with a direct physical meaning is used. On the contrary the distribution of material particles in an interference pattern is calculated with a probability wave function whose interpretation presents controversial features. Here, a general law is reported which provides a unified explanation of

A new solution of the light scattering problem for axisymmetric particles
Journal of Quantitative Spectroscopy and Radiative Transfer, 1999Abstract A new approach to solve the problem of light scattering by particles with an axial symmetry is suggested. We divide the electromagnetic fields in two parts (an axisymmetric part having no dependence on the azimuthal angle and a non-axisymmetric part whose averaging over this angle gives zero) and consider the scattering problem separately ...
