The search for safer and more effective vaccine adjuvants has intensified in recent years, with triterpenoid saponins like QS‐21 and its analogues emerging as promising candidates. We report the synthesis of a novel QS‐21 analogue featuring betulinic acid as aglycone, a lupane‐type triterpenoid with low toxicity derived from white birch bark.

The spectroastrometric detectability of nearby Solar System-like exomoons [PDF]
Though efforts to detect them have been made with a variety of methods, no technique can claim a successful, confirmed detection of a moon outside the Solar System yet. Moon detection methods are restricted in capability to detecting moons of masses beyond what formation models would suggest, or they require surface temperatures exceeding what tidal ...

ABSTRACT Enteropathogenic Escherichia coli (EPEC) causes diarrheal disease. Once ingested, these extracellular pathogens attach to the intestinal epithelial cells of their host, collapse the localized microvilli, and generate actin‐rich structures within the host cells that are located beneath the attached bacteria, called “pedestals.” Palladin is an ...

A non‐destructive analytical methodology, based on Raman microscopy (single point and imaging), micro‐energy dispersive X‐ray fluorescence (μED‐XRF) imaging analysis, and scanning electron microscopy coupled to energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM‐EDS), is suggested for a first analytical characterization for the Martian samples that will be taken to ...

Advancements in the Application of the Intersection of Medicine and Engineering in Cancer Research
ABSTRACT Cancer research predominantly centers on diagnosis, treatment, and elucidation of underlying mechanisms. Nevertheless, the intricate nature of tumor genesis and development has rendered early diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes less than optimal, making tumor conquest a formidable challenge.
