Study the variation of synodic month for the moon through 2000-2100

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Physics, 2019
In this research study the synodic month for the moon and their relationship with the mean anomaly for the moon orbit and date A.D and for long periods of time (100 years), we was design a computer program that calculates the period of synodic months ...

Origin of the Moon [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
The Earth-Moon system is unusual in several respects. The Moon is roughly 1/4 the radius of the Earth - a larger satellite-to-planet size ratio than all known satellites other than Pluto's Charon. The Moon has a tiny core, perhaps with only ~1% of its mass, in contrast to Earth whose core contains nearly 30% of its mass.

On the Origin of Earth's Moon [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research, v. 121, p. 1573-1601, 2016, 2016
The Giant Impact is currently accepted as the leading theory for the formation of Earth's Moon. Successful scenarios for lunar origin should be able to explain the chemical composition of the Moon (volatile content and stable isotope ratios), the Moon's initial thermal state, and the system's bulk physical and dynamical properties.

Survival of exomoons around exoplanets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Despite numerous attempts, no exomoon has firmly been confirmed to date. New missions like CHEOPS aim to characterize previously detected exoplanets, and potentially to discover exomoons. In order to optimize search strategies, we need to determine those planets which are the most likely to host moons. We investigate the tidal evolution of hypothetical

Tidal Evolution of the Earth-Moon System with a High Initial Obliquity [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
A giant impact origin for the Moon is generally accepted, but many aspects of lunar formation remain poorly understood and debated. \'Cuk et al. (2016) proposed that an impact that left the Earth-Moon system with high obliquity and angular momentum could explain the Moon's orbital inclination and isotopic similarity to Earth.

PENENTUAN AWAL BULAN HIJRIAH (Studi Hadis tentang Hilal sebagai Tanda Awal Bulan Hijriah) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Hadith which is includes “fasting because you see the new moon and breaking the fast because seeing the new moon” becomes the basis of reference that the new moon is the initial sign of entry not only in the month of Ramadan and Shawwal but also the 12th

Beyond digital twins: the role of foundation models in enhancing the interpretability of multiomics modalities in precision medicine

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This review highlights how foundation models enhance predictive healthcare by integrating advanced digital twin modeling with multiomics and biomedical data. This approach supports disease management, risk assessment, and personalized medicine, with the goal of optimizing health outcomes through adaptive, interpretable digital simulations, accessible ...

Next Generation of Telescopes or Dynamics Required to Determine if Exo-Moons have Prograde or Retrograde Orbits [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We survey the methods proposed in the literature for detecting moons of extrasolar planets in terms of their ability to distinguish between prograde and retrograde moon orbits, an important tracer of moon formation channel. We find that most moon detection methods, in particular, sensitive methods for detecting moons of transiting planets, cannot ...
