The Hemithyrsocera palliata is a shining dark brown about 12mm sized cockroach. Pronotum sub-elliptical, black with golden yellow margin. In India, the taxon is reported from Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu and Tripura.
