New records and new species of Asclepiadaceae from Namibia
Bothalia: African Biodiversity & Conservation, 1995 Eleven species of Asclepiadaceae not previously recorded from Namibia are discussed. Of these. Brachystelma codonanthum Bruyns. B. recurvatum Bruyns and Schizoglossum saccatum Bruyns are new species.

FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Patch‐clamp recordings revealed that tamoxifen inhibits voltage‐gated sodium channels, especially under acidic conditions, both common in metastatic cancer cells. These effects may explain certain antitumor properties of tamoxifen, highlighting a novel mechanism of action beyond its known endocrine effects.
