Coronavirus Nsp3 Hijacks CLTC to Modulate Autophagosome Nucleation for Promoting DMV Formation and Viral Replication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In wild‐type cells, FIPV infection recruits CLTC to nsp3, facilitates DMV biogenesis and block autophagic flux to promote viral replication. CLTC knockout impairs autophagosome nucleation by reducing Beclin1–ATG14 complex expression. This disrupts the formation of autophagic precursor membranes, thereby preventing their hijacking by nsp3 for DMV ...

Optimal Grazing Exclusion Duration to Enhance Soil Carbon Sequestration in Degraded Grasslands

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Across China, grazing exclusion reaches the national mean soil organic carbon recovery benchmark sooner in high‐MAP regions (> 500 mm), but recovery is much slower where MAP < 300 mm. Scaling this strategy to 70% of China's degraded grasslands would sequester about 1.52 Pg of soil carbon over 10 years—roughly 17% of annual global fossil‐fuel emissions.

Rurality is associated with lower likelihood of dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor use for treatment intensification

open access: yesExploratory Research in Clinical and Social Pharmacy
Background: Antihyperglycemic drug utilization studies are conducted frequently and describe the uptake of new drug therapies across may jurisdictions. An increasingly important, yet often absent, aspect of these studies is the impact of rurality on drug

Forecasting Root Rot Disease through Predictive Microbial Functional Profiling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Predicting soil‐borne disease moves beyond observation with a framework that elevates microbial functional genes into reliable forecasting biomarkers. By coupling targeted qPCR assays for core stress‐response genes with machine learning, this method detects root rot risks in pre‐symptomatic soils with over 80% accuracy.

Glucuronolactone Promotes Mucin Sulfation to Alleviate Deoxynivalenol‐Induced Intestinal Injury via Microbiota‐Dependent and ‐Independent AHR Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glucuronolactone (GLU) as a natural metabolite of glucose, increases Lactobacillus amylovorus abundance and luminal IAA level to activate AHR signaling. In addition, GLU itself can directly elevate AHR signaling activity independently of microbiota and IAA.

New Rural Spaces

open access: yes, 2013
New Rural Spaces is a timely contribution to an important and growing research and policy arena. In the past few decades, due to modernisation and deepening globalisation rural areas have experienced dramatic socio-economic changes. The collection explores and challenges the complex relationships between changing countryside, local development and ...
