This article discusses the status of Africa and its 54 economies in the New Silk Road Strategy, and explores the significance of Africa in the Belt and Road Initiative. To this end, we will evaluate China-Africa economic relations (one for investment and the other for trade) to explain the role and impact of China-Africa relations on global governance.
