Ethical Precision in Nanoscale Brain Interfacing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As brain interfaces approach the nanoscale, precision no longer only measures—it knows, predicts, and potentially reshapes the mind. This work argues that traditional ethics fails under such conditions and proposes a shift toward continuous, operation‐based governance using the recovery–discovery framework to track, constrain, and responsibly steer ...

A review of the genus Stephanorhynchus White, 1846 (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Eugnomini), with a description of three new genera and one new species from New Zealand

open access: yesThe European Zoological Journal
Stephanorhynchus White, 1846 is a eugnomine weevil genus endemic to New Zealand, with 18 nominal taxa described within the genus. Examination of the type specimens of these taxa with greater understanding of related genera has led to the distinction of ...

Functional Disorder at the Neural Interface: How Disordered Nanostructures Promote Proper Growth and Differentiation in In Vitro Neural Cultures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work provides a practical guide for neuroengineers to design advanced neural interfaces, embracing and tailoring the concept of functional disorder. By bridging 2D and 3D in vitro models, this work highlights how non‐periodic, spatially heterogeneous, multiscale nanotopography can enable more physiologically relevant platforms for studying neural ...

Combining Radiation‐Treated Tumor Vaccines With Mn‐MOF Nanoadjuvants to Amplify Radiation Induced Anti‐Tumor Immune Responses

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy‐treated tumor membranes are integrated with Mn‐MOF nanoadjuvants to generate Mn@RM, a lymph node‐draining nanovaccine that delivers radiotherapy‐remodeled antigenic components. Mn@RM enhances dendritic cell activation, amplifies T cell‐mediated antitumor immunity, and synergizes with radiotherapy and PD‐1 blockade for combination cancer ...

Revision of the African chigger mite genus Hyracarus (Acariformes: Trombiculidae: Leeuwenhoekiinae)

open access: yesPersian Journal of Acarology
Chigger mite genus Hyracarus Lawrence, 1949, endemic to Tropical Africa, was revised based on the examination of type series, new materials, unpublished archive sources, and the literature. Five new species were described: Hyracarus bethuliensis sp. nov.

Redescription of Hemileius suramericanus (Acari, Oribatida, Scheloribatidae) with comments about Neotropical congeneric species

open access: yesPersian Journal of Acarology, 2014
This paper represents the first redescription of Hemileius suramericanus (Hammer, 1958) (Oribatida, Scheloribatidae). Morphological and chaetotactic details are added to original Hammer's description.

RNF138‐Mediated Ubiquitination and Degradation of NS5 Restricts Tick‐Borne Encephalitis Virus Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Host‐specific compatibility between RNF138‐like proteins and flavivirus NS5 determines NS5 stability. Mammalian RNF138 but not arthropod homologs recognizes and induces conserved NS5/RdRp K48‐linked ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation, thereby restricting viral replication. Ectopic RNF138 in mice attenuates TBEV‐induced pathogenesis. (Created in

East meets West: on the true identity of Cheiracanthium rupestre and Xysticus albomaculatus (Arachnida: Araneae: Eutichuridae, Thomisidae)

open access: yesArachnologische Mitteilungen, 2016
Cheiracanthium rupestre Herman, 1879, and Xysticus albomaculatus Kulczyński, 1891, both originally described from Hungary, are among the most rarely reported species of their genera in Europe.
